What Happened in the Dr. Carrie Madej Plane Crash?
Dr. Madej, an outspoken medical expert who has blown the whistle on vaccines and clot shots was involved in the crash of a small aircraft. She suffered a broken leg and some fractures along her spine, saying she was “bruised all over” and also apparently has a black eye. Her boyfriend suffered a cranial concussion and other injuries. Both were taken to the hospital for emergency surgery and they were both put in the ICU.
In the crash, Dr. Madej says her tibia and fibula were cleanly severed and her foot was “facing 120 degrees in the wrong direction.” She says it took paramedics 30 minutes to reach them, as they crash-landed in trees. However, her pilot was able to direct the plane to crash land along a logger’s trail, which minimized the damage and probably saved their lives.
Dr. Carrie Madej reflects on her Crash
Carrie Madje expresses amazement that they survived, as the plane they were on lost power while returning from Florida.
Dr. Madej mentions that the plane was gliding smoothly, referring to a technique called a “glide path.” This technique involves adjusting the angle of descent to maintain forward speed while losing altitude, enabling the pilot to maintain control. It’s a common procedure taught to small aircraft pilots, and my instructor used to practice it frequently, even turning off the engine during night flights.
Then, unexpectedly, the engine RPM dropped to zero within seconds, causing a sudden descent like a falling rock.
I’m not sure what exactly happened at this point, as the engine had already stopped functioning. However, it’s possible that the propeller stopped rotating since it was no longer powered by the engine. Depending on the specific aircraft’s glide path angle and speed, this could create a sensation of rapidly plummeting. Each aircraft has its own designated glide path angle and speed. In the case of the Cessna 172, which was the type of plane I trained in, the typical glide path speed is around 75 knots. However, the glide path speed for the Piper aircraft in which Dr. Madej was a passenger would be different.
Carrie mentions that a search and rescue team was looking for them, and she screamed for help, which eventually led to their location being discovered.
She explains that the pilot, who had 20 years of experience, sustained skull fractures, facial fractures, and a T10 fracture, and experienced a loss of consciousness.
