The 13th comedy festival will take place at the Johnny Carson Theatre from Thursday to Saturday, June 16-18. Except for the /Sparklight Adults Only, Late Night Show on Friday at 10:30 p.m. at The Stables in Norfolk, all shows start at 7 p.m.
The family Comedy Magic Show, including three world-class magicians, kicks off the Great American Comedy Festival on Thursday. David Koechner, as well as four other stand-up comedians, will headline the Friday Comedy Showcase. On Saturday night, The Smothers Brothers will perform at the Festival Gala. At the theatre on Saturday night, four more stand-up comedians will take the stage.
The Johnny Carson Comedy Legend Award honors Norfolk’s favorite son’s contribution to comedy. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the world of comedy over many years.
