Jacob Oulanyah Career, What was his profession?
Oulanyah began working as a lecturer at the LDC after graduating from it, at the same time establishing a private law practice at Oulanyah, Onoria & Company Advocates. Having entered politics under the no-party system, also known as the Movement Political System, in 2001, he was elected to the parliamentary seat of Omoro County, in the then Gulu District. In a race against his old boss, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, and Kira Municipality MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju, Jacob Oulanyah was elected Speaker of Parliament on May 24, 2021. Jacob received 310 votes, compared to 197 for Kadaga and 15 for Ssemujju.
