Wang was born in Shanghai as Wang Zhengquan. He served in the National Revolutionary Army before joining the Shaw Brothers Studio in Hong Kong in 1963. Chan later returned the favor by appearing in Wang’s films Fantasy Mission Force (1982) and Island of Fire (1985). (1990).
