Nyathi’s death, according to a statement written by the party’s spokesperson, Fadzayi Mahere, is a reminder of how the ruling Zanu-PF has failed the people.
On the night of April 6, 2022, Mbodazwe Elvis Nyathi, a Zimbabwean resident in South Africa, was killed in a xenophobic attack in Diepsloot Ext 1, northern Johannesburg. He was assassinated by a crowd that was rummaging around the neighborhood, demanding to see his identification documents.
